Project Description

Design and Implementation of a Testbed for Emerging Intelligent 5G Networks

Our goal in this project is to design a testbed which embodies innovative concepts of 5G cellular networks. Specifically, concepts such as network function virtualization (NFV), automatic management (orchestration), slicing, and over the top intelligent applications are in our utmost importance in this project. We name this testbed as ION (Intelligent mObile Network) and Our resources towards this goal are open source code-bases such as the Mosaic5G project and technologies such as docker and k8s.
